Getting Ready for the big trip

Well I am preparing to depart for my assignment in Vanuatu. I am feeling nervous, apprehensive, excited and am hoping for a successful adventure in the South Pacific. I hope to use this blog as a medium for messages to family and friends as well as a source of information for future volunteers or prospective travellers. The information on Vanuatu is quite sparse and though there is some, it leaves one feeling frustrated and having many unanswered questions. I will leave in nine days time and depart for LA for 12 brief hours of training before I fly to Vanuatu. The training sounds as though it ill be rushed and basic as there is little time to fully prepare the new volunteers for the adventure that awaits them....
